Hi, my name is Isabella Russo I am a multi-disciplinary designer, currently pursuing a Design B.F.A undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin. I have first-hand experience in developing contemporary human and environment-centered designs. Throughout my academic and professional experience, I’ve worked with various ideation practices and iterative prototyping processes, that enable me to develop a varied range of innovative ideas. In the fast-changing world that we are living in today, more so with the circumstances that we are facing, I believe that being able to adapt to change with creative problem solving is key for a successful design process. I believe that as a designers I have the responsibility to start any design considering a holistic view, bringing a circular economy as a base element of a design process.
A BIT MORE ABOUT MY LIFE.
I was born and raised in Cancún, México. Growing up in Mexico with a Brazilian mother and an Italian-American father was an interesting, yet socially challenging experience. Because of my unique background, I am curious about other human's cultures and ways of living life. I also have a closer relationship to nature and a passion around the impacts of global warming and the consumer culture have in our planet.
As a multi-cultured human, I've always used various mediums of visual communication such as art and design as my way of expressing myself and understanding my community. As our world grows increasingly interdependent, I find it more important than ever to cultivate cross-cultural connection and understanding.
